What started as a fascination with concrete 15 years ago has become my lifelong craft. Today, I shape this raw material into unique concrete lamps—artworks that don’t just light up a room, but bring soul to it.
Wonder has always been associated with flying. Winged Pegasus, magic carpet, Superman. Making something that doesn’t usually fly to fly was a dream that inspired engineers to create balloons, airplanes and rockets, and composers to create music that makes the soul soar. Architects also strove for lightness in their works, but the properties of concrete were inexorable. Durability, longevity, truthfulness are inseparable from the imposing weight. At least it was until now.
Now concrete can fly. The innovative SOWA STONE concrete is still real concrete with a rough and eloquent texture character. But thanks to its special composition and several manufacturing secrets, it is lighter and more durable, so it can be used to make lamps with a wall thickness of only a few millimeters.
A lamp with a diameter of half a meter weighs only a few kilograms, so it can be safely hung in thin, almost invisible threads, allowing you to create a feeling of flight in the interior.
Add to this the unique nature of each lamp, born of handwork and the countless combinations of colours and elements.
The realness of concrete together with the lightness of light and ideas. Now it’s yours.
